The Colorado mountain property on which Crowley Ranch Reserve has been developed was the historic Crowley homestead, the ranch land was originally acquired by that family over a century ago. We, the developers, are only the second owners of this ranch land! We are long-time Archuleta County residents and we will live on and be involved in the Reserve. One of the partner-owners is a wildlife biologist, and it was his vision to establish the Reserve as a wildlife sanctuary. Of the 2000 acres of ranch land for sale, over 1400 acres have been permanently set aside, deed restricted from development, for the benefit of the wildlife as well as the property owners.

The ranch properties range in size from one to eighty acres, all with suitable homesites. The fourth and final phase opened in March of 2005.
